Nádúraí is scríbhneoir Meiriceánach a saolaíodh i Springdale, Pennsylvania ab ea Rachel Louise Carson (27 Bealtaine 1907 – 14 Aibreán 1964). Ina leabhar cáiliúil ''Silent Spring'' (Earrach Ciúin, 1962) dhírigh sí aird an phobail ar na deacrachtaí a leanann úsáid lotnaidicídí sa talmhaíocht.
