Nhưng khi thành lậo doanh nghiệp, các nhà chuyên môn thường có khuynh hướng tiếp tục làm những gì họ giỏi và phớt lờ các yếu tố quan trọng khác của kinh doanh. Thiếu mục tiêu nên quá tải, kiệt sức và cuối cùng phá sản. Thay vì sở hữu doanh nghiệp, họ chỉ sở hữu công việc.  Thực ra, vai trò doanh nghiệp hoàn toàn khác: họ cần tạo dựng một doanh nghiệp hoạt động độc lập với bản thân. Chủ doanh nghiệp phải hình dung ra sao, cần hoạch định các chiến lược nào về nhân sự, marketing, quản lý... Dần dần, chủ doanh nghiệp phải kiểm tra, đánh giá và thiết lập hệ thống văn bản cho từng vị trí để thay thế mình khi học không có mặt tại doanh nghiệp. Nếu thực hiện tốt những điều trên, doanh nghiệp của bạn sẽ trở thành một &quot;sân chơi&quot;, trong đó mọi người đều tìm đựơc vị trí phù hợp cho mình để phát huy tốt nhất năng lực và sở trường của bản thân.</subfield>
