   <subfield code="a">Nghiên cứu được thực hiện để khảo sát khả năng kháng oxy hóa và bảo vệ gan của cao chiết lá và cao chiết củ cây Bông phấn (Mirabilis jalapa L.). Định tính thành phần hóa học xác định lá và củ Bông phấn có chứa các hợp chất alkaloid, flavonoid, polyphenol, saponin, tannin, và triterpenoid - sterol. Hoạt tính kháng oxy hóa của cao chiết được xác định bằng phương pháp DPPH, ABTS và khử sắt (RP) với cao chiết lá Bông phấn lần lượt có EC50 là 66,80 µg/mL, 145,64 µg/mL và 8,5 µg/mL và cao chiết củ Bông phấn lần lượt có EC50 là 13,67 µg/mL, 96,54 µg/mL và 6,97 µg/mL. Cao chiết lá Bông phấn liều 5000 mg/kg và cao chiết củ Bông phấn liều 2000 mg/kg không gây độc cho chuột, các chỉ tiêu sinh lý máu, sinh hóa gan và thận tương tự chuột bình thường. Cao chiết củ Bông phấn liều 5000 mg/kg gây độc và làm chuột chết. Khả năng bảo vệ gan của lá Bông phấn và củ Bông phấn được khảo sát trên mô hình chuột tổn thương gan bằng carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) và được so sánh với silymarin là đối chứng dương. Sau 4 tuần thử nghiệm, hàm lượng enzyme ALT và AST được cải thiện khi nồng độ cao chiết tăng dần. Chuột uống cao chiết liều 400 mg/kg khối lượng chuột cho hiệu quả cao nhất (cao chiết lá Bông phấn có ALT = 131,40±29,60 U/L; AST = 271,60±34,50 U/L và cao chiết củ Bông phấn có ALT = 91,80±30,80 U/L; AST = 193,60±42,60 U/L) và tương đương với chuột được điều trị bằng sylimarin (ALT = 94,20±5,45 U/L, AST = 173,60±32,10 U/L). Trạng thái stress oxy hóa trong gan được cải thiện theo xu hướng giảm hàm lượng MDA và tăng GSH. Hàm lượng ure và creatinin trong huyết thanh của chuột ở các nghiệm thức tương đương nhau và tương đương với chuột bình thường.</subfield>
