   <subfield code="a">Động lực đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc đạt được bất kỳ mục tiêu nào trong tất cả các lĩnh vực. Hơn nữa, nó là một nhân tố quan trọng ảnh hưởng tích cực đến quá trình dạy và học, đặc biệt là trong học tập ngôn ngữ thứ hai (Rehman, et al., 2014). Cụ thể, động lực tác động mạnh mẽ đến việc học tập kỹ năng nói của sinh viên, dưới dạng Động lực ngoại lai và Động lực nội tại. Nghiên cứu này nhằm (1) so sánh mức độ của Động lực ngoại lai và Động lực nội tại và những yếu tố quyết định của chúng trong kỹ năng nói của sinh viên và (2) tìm hiểu thái độ của giáo viên và sinh viên về động lực nói tiếng Anh và những gợi ý của họ về những chiến lược động lực nhằm nâng cao năng lực nói tiếng Anh của sinh viên. Để đạt được những mục tiêu này, phương pháp nghiên cứu hỗn hợp được áp dụng với việc sử dụng bảng câu hỏi động lực cho sinh viên và phỏng vấn bán cấu trúc cho giáo viên và sinh viên.</subfield>
