   <subfield code="a">Flavonollà một phân nhóm quan trọng của flavonoid, được tìm thấy trong nhiều loại rau cải và trái cây như hành tây, cải xoăn, bông cải xanh, rau diếp, cà chua, táo, nho, quả mọng, trà, mật ong... Chúng được biết đến với nhiều hoạt tính sinh học như kháng oxy hóa, kháng viêm, kháng ung thư, kháng virus và có nhiều ứng dụng trong y học. Ngoài ra, các flavonolcòn có khả năng hấp thụ ánh sáng tử ngoại và có nhiều tiềm năng ứng dụng trong lĩnh vực mỹ phẩm. Tuy nhiên, cơ chế thu giữ gốc tự do cũng như khả năng hấp thụ ánh sáng tử ngoại của các hợp chất này vẫn chưa được hiểu biết đầy đủ và giải thích rõ ràng. Ngày nay, với sự tiến bộ của các phương pháp tính toán hóa học lượng tử, chúng ta có thể giải thích được các hiện tượng vật lí, hóa học thông qua các mô hình, tính toán mô phỏng trên máy tính. Sử dụng lý thuyết phiếm hàm mật độ (DFT), cùng với phiếm hàm B3LYP kết hợp với bộ hàm cơ sở 6-311++G(d,p), đề tài này khảo sát hoạt tính kháng oxy hóa và khả năng hấp thụ ánh sáng tử ngoại của 3 flavonoltiêu biểu: galangin, kaempferol và quercetin. Bên cạnh đó, sự ảnh hưởng của dung môi lên hoạt tính kháng oxyhóa cũng như khả năng hấp thụ tia tử ngoại cũng được khảo sát.</subfield>
