   <subfield code="a">Mục tiêu của chương trình Giáo dục Tổng thể (12/2018): “Hình thành và phát triển năng lực toán học bao gồm các thành tố cốt lõi sau đây: năng lực tư duy và lập luận toán học; năng lực mô hình hóa toán học; năng lực giải quyết vấn đề toán học; năng lực giao tiếp toán học; năng lực sử dụng công cụ, phương tiện toán học” [1]. Bên cạnh đó, “Môn Toán giúp cho học sinh có cái nhìn tương đối tổng quát về Toán học, hiểu được vai trò và những ứng dụng của toán học trong thực tiễn, những ngành nghề có liên quan đến toán học để học sinh có cơ sở định hướng nghề nghiệp cũng như khả năng tự mình tìm hiểu những vấn đề có liên quan đến toán học trong suốt cuộc đời”. Như vậy, nền giáo dục nước nhà đã có cơ sở để hình thành một PP dạy và học mới – PP GQVĐ, thay cho PP truyền thống là truyền đạt và tiếp thu thụ động các bài giảng, kiến thức có sẵn trong chương trình và SKG. Ở bậc phổ thông, có thể xem học Toán là học cách giải quyết các vấn đề Toán học. Môn Toán là một môn học có tính khái quát cao, mang đặc thù riêng của khoa học nên chứa đựng nhiều tiềm năng để phát triển NL GQVĐ. Tuy nhiên với lượng kiến thức Toán phong phú, đa dạng, thêm vào đó là chương trình được thay đổi liên tục thì việc tiếp thu kiến thức của HS sẽ gặp rất nhiều khó khăn. Vì vậy, thay vì cố gắng nhồi nhét lượng kiến thức khổng lồ, chúng ta cần có những PP tích cực hơn, hiệu quả hơn – phát triển NL GQVĐ cho HS. NL GQVĐ là một NL quan trọng. Bởi vì, nó giúp HS xác định chính xác vấn đề, cách thức và PP GQVĐ đó ra sao. Do tính trừu tượng và việc ít hiểu được ứng dụng của LG trong đời sống hằng ngày cũng như những công thức phức tạp đòi hỏi rèn luyện nhiều đã tạo nên những cản trợ trong việc thích thú học LG ở các em HS. Để cải thiện tình hình trên, GV cần nhiều thời gian nghiên cứu tìm tòi, đề ra những biện pháp tích cực nhằm thay đổi PP giảng dạy hiệu quả, phù hợp với NL của HS.</subfield>
