   <subfield code="a">Silic hiện diện nhiều thứ hai trong vỏ trái đất, có vai trò giúp thực vật chống chịu với các tác nhân bất lợi sinh học và phi sinh học của môi trường sống. Ở lúa Silic là nguyên tố cấu thành quan trọng của thân và hạt. Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm xem xét ảnh hưởng của việc phun bổ sung hai hợp chất chứa Silic là Calci Silicate và Natri Silicate hai lần ở các thời điểm 20 và 40 hoặc 40 và 60 ngày sau sạ (NSS) với liều lượng lần lược là 15 g và 15,78 g cho một lần phun lên sinh trưởng, phát triển, năng suất và sự tích luỹ Silic trên lúa OM4900 tại thị xã Long Mỹ tỉnh Hậu Giang. Thí nghiệm được bố trí theo thể thức khối hoàn toàn ngẩu nhiên với 5 nghiệm thức 4 lần lặp lại. Kết quả thí nghiệm cho thấy việc phun bổ sung Silic ở thời điểm 40 NSS giúp lúa hạn chế chiều cao cây lúa giai đoạn 60 NSS trên cả hai hợp chất Calci Silicate và Natri Silicate với đối chứng. Khi phun bổ sung ở thời điểm 40 và 60 NSS làm gia tăng khác biệt tích luỹ Silic ở lóng 4 và 5 lần lược là 20,6% và 22,1% so với đối chứng 14,9%; đồng thời tạo ra sự khác biệt về khối lượng 1000 hạt: 25,7 g và 25,9 g so với đối chứng 24,4 g. Phun bổ sung hai hợp chất Silic không gây sự khác biệt nhiều về các chỉ tiêu nông học khác như số chồi/ m2, kích thước lá, độ dài lóng thân, đường kính lóng, bề dầy lóng, cùng như chỉ số SPAD, năng suất và các thành phần năng suất, tỷ lệ hạt lem. Trong suốt quá trình thí nghiệm không quan sát thấy hiện tượng đổ ngã xảy ra.</subfield>
