Với sự phát triển của công nghệ thông tin, khai khoáng dữ liệu là một công cụ quản lý quan trọng, hỗ trợ các quyết định ban đầu của doanh nghiệp dựa trên dữ liệu thu thập được trong quá khứ nhằm giúp tăng lợi nhuận, đổi mới xu hướng và tăng hiệu quả bán hàng. Ngày nay, các công ty có được lợi thế cạnh tranh từ việc thu thập dữ liệu trong quá khứ và sử dụng các phương pháp dự đoán xu hướng kinh doanh cho tương lai. Trong nghiên cứu  này, đối tượng nghiên cứu được chọn là tập dữ liệu từ một website thương mại điện tử (Amazon) cung cấp hầu hết các loại sản phẩm trong đó có các loại hàng về mỹ phẩm, các loại sản phẩm làm đẹp với quy mô toàn quốc để thực nghiệm và đánh giá kết quả của nghiên cứu này. Nghiên cứu này sử dụng giải thuật lọc nội dung và lọc cộng tác để tiến hành dự đoán các hành vi và xu hướng của thị trường với các đối tượng kinh doanh theo mùa. Việc kết hợp này nhằm tăng tính chính xác cho ứng dụng. Kết quả dự đoán bán hàng đạt mức chính xác cao so với số liệu thực tế và yếu tố mùa vụ thực sự quan trọng đối với một số nhóm sản phẩm. Dựa vào kết quả trên thì các chiến dịch và chiến lược tiếp thị khác nhau của doanh nghiệp sẽ được thực hiện và mang lại kết quả cao.</subfield>
