| Achoimre: | The research focused on investigating the expressions of lexical linguistic features in the work “ A Bright Shining Lie”, by Neil Sheehan, in the original as well as in its Vietnamese version “ Sự lừa dối hào nhoáng”, by Ho Chi Minh Publishing House, 1990. The first issue we concentrated on was classifying the samples collected from both the original and the Vietnamese version and analyzing them. At the same time, we deeply considered the transferring of Lexical stylistic devices from English to Vietnamese in terms of lexicology in order to see their stability and also the variants. In this stage, the basic method used was descriptive and inductive approaches. Coming to the second stage, once again, the contrastive analysis was used, but in different domains. That was the investigation into the prequent occurrence of Lexical stylistic devices in the original and its Vietnamese version and from that we drew a conclusion about the similarities as well as differences between them. Moreover, in this thesis, the obstacles and limitations of the research were also mentioned to and contemporarily, the suggested questions for further research have been proposed. |
