Crynodeb:This study investigated the influence of different personality types on four English skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), learning styles and academic result. The research was designed to collect and analyze information qualitatively and quantitatively. Participants were 101 third – year students at the Faculty of English for Specific Purposes, University of Foreign Language Studies, the University of Danang. The instruments used to collect data were the five-factor model (Digman, 1990) and Kolb Learning Style (Sharp, Harb & Terry, 1997). Results showed significant influences of personality traits on the process of learning the Four basic English language skills and students’ academic results. The significant connection was also found between individual characteristics and the learning styles they adopt.
