| Samenvatting: | This thesis is designed to investigate the langauage used for describing graphs in online English newspapers on the aspect of the lexical and the syntactic features. An analysis is made to find out how the words and structures have been used for describing graphs in online English newspapers. Together with the analysis, a discussion and comments on the lexical and syntactic features have been made. Finally, this thesis suggests some guidelines and further researches on different fields of language in describing graphs. |
