| Sammanfattning: | This paper is to study the linguistic features of binomial expressions. Both qualitative and quantitative analysis is conducted basing on the investigation of 207 binomial expressions together with a numerous number of samples from various linguistic books, dictionaries, short stories and from the Internet. The findings show that binomial expressions have some typical features that help enrich the source of language and especially with their rhetoric features, it helps make the expressions of language vivid and meaningful. The paper also dealt with the implications for teaching, learning and translating binomial expressions as well as put forward some suggestions for further study. |
