| Summary: | The study is designed to discover the morphological and pragmatic features of interjections in English and Vietnamese. The study was examined in a contrastive analysis of the above-mentioned aspects. Via the reliable data of 500 samples in English and 500 Vietnamese ones collected from tape scripts of award winning films, the researcher analyzed the data and studied the similarities and difference of interjections in English and Vietnamese in terms of morphology and pragmatics. Accordingly, the problems in the translation and anticipated problems of language teaching and learning were drawn in the practical implications for English learners. |
