| Zusammenfassung: | This thesis mainly aims at identifying and analyzing stylistic devices used in English and Vietnamese texts describing natural scenery. The analysis, discussions and comments have been made to point out the syntactic and pragmatic similarities and differences of common stylistic devices in the two languages.
The data of the study are collected from English and Vietnamese literary works. The data are quoted, described and contrastively analyzed on stylistic aspects under qualitative and quantitative approaches.
On the basis of contrastive analysis, some suggestions have been offered in the hope that they can partly contribute to language teaching, learning and translating. |
