| Zusammenfassung: | This thesis is designed to investigate the structural and semantic features of English and Vietnamese film titles. Via this analysis, this study aims at presenting common syntactic and morphological features in English and Vietnamese film titles. And through analyzing semantic features, we are able to recognize the type of the film and then we can guess the content of the film. Furthermore, the strategic use of metaphor and ambiguity devices is also considered. Finally, the similarities and differences of structural and semantic features between English and Vietnamese film titles are pointed out |
