Περίληψη:Critical discourse of Donald Trump's Political speeches is described in this thesis. CDA is a discourse analysis related to the study of language or language usage. How language is viewed in discourse analysis. The goals of this research are to (1) figure out the types of CDA factors that can be identified in Donald Trump's Political Speeches, and (2) to learn about social cognition in Donald Trump's speeches. The writer chooses Teun A. van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis theory (1998). To describe and analyze the data, this study uses qualitative method as well as descriptive techniques. The writer also utilizes Sudaryono’s hypothesis (2006) to finish the information gathering steps, which contains of downloading the video and content, reading and listening, and finally finding and classifying the data. For the writer's analysis step, data identification, data classification, analysis, and conclusion are conducted then. The focus of this research is on Donald Trump's Political speeches’ critical discourse analysis. According to this research, Donald Trump's Political speeches have five types of CDA factors and six elements of socio-cognition. Firstly, (1) The theme has only 1 type (2) Syntactic style is divided into 3 parts, namely: Persuasion, Cohesion and Pronouns (3) Semantic Style is divided into 2 categories, namely: Background & Details and Presupposition (4) Stylistic style is divided into 1 category, namely: Lexical choice (5) Rhetoric style has 2 categories, they are: Hyperbole and Repetition & Irony. Secondly, social cognitive elements are found: (1) Emotional attachment (2) Mind control (3) Evidence Mitigation (4) Glorification (5) Self-representation (6) Rhetoric art of speakin
