This effort is focused on three broad areas: mixed building technology; structural integrity under exceptional actions; and urban design. This book reports on the progress of this initiative in developing, combining, and disseminating new engineering technologies, improving the quality of urban buildings, initiating new technical solutions for architects and planners, reducing disturbances of the construction process in urban areas, and improving the quality of living in the urban habitat. |
