Resumo:The contributors of these 13 articles agree that dealing with corruption on a case-by-case level may be fruitless, and that creating governance that ensures the integrity and efficiency of public management is the first step toward eradicating corruption. They describe setting up and maintaining systems that call for performance-based accountability, use technology appropriately and provide collaborative solutions to performance measurement, as well as building political institutions that provide the appropriate legal and operational frameworks for supporting accountability. They advocate tailoring anti-corruption efforts to fit nations and cultures and to target likely locales for corruption, such as tax administration, through comprehensive audits as well as responsible governance. They close with advice on strengthening public accounts committees by targeting specific weaknesses
