Description
Résumé:At its birth steel-reinforced concrete was advertised as maintenance free, but it turned out that unmaintained structures of it fell down after 20 years. El-Reedy, with a Cairo-based petroleum company, explains reinforced concrete structure maintenance to junior and senior engineers who design, construct, repair, or maintain them. He keeps in mind the level of chemistry civil engineers have typically been exposed to. In addition to discussing the evaluation, protection, and repair of structures, he suggests how to implement a maintenance program.
