This course emphasizes the impact microorganisms in nature we take a survey through each of the evolutionary branches of Bacteria, Archaea, and Eukaryotes, discussing the organisms and what they can teach us about microbial life. An overview of microbial environment is provided, with special emphasis on structural and functional differences among bacteria, fungi, algae, protozoa, and viruses
