Resumo:During the three years that have passed since the second, revised, edition appeared, Stalin has died, and there have been changes in the Soviet Union which have been reflected in the East European states. It has also become possible to see more clearly the trend towards the formation of new ruling classes in these countries, closely following the trend in the Soviet Union but differing in certain important respects.
