Resumo:The book provides a thorough treatment of the algebraic topics generally covered in a college course. The initial chapter contains a review of basic algebra concepts. Chapters 2 through 6 present equations and inequalities, functions and equations and their graphs, roots of polynomials, and the exponential and logarithmic functions. Chapters 7 through 9 examine a variety of other subjects related to algebra: systems of equations and matrices, complex numbers, and topics in discrete algebra (including mathematic inducation, sequences, series, permutations and combinations, and the binomial theorem)
