Explorers of South-East Asia : Six lives

This volume provides brief sketches of the lives and achievements of six nineteenth-century explorers of South-East Asia: Henri Mouhout, Robert Burns, Francis Garnier, Carl Bock, Sir James Scott, and A.W. Nieuwenhuis. The essays cover exploration in Cambodia, Laos, Borneo, Burma and Sumatra.
