Resumo:The book is organized into six parts. Part One includes an introduction to zoology, as well as coverage of cellular chemistry, structire, and function. Part Two covers the basic biological concepts of molecular biology, genetic, and embryology. Part Three addresses evolution. Part Four covers behavior and ecology. Part Five is a survey of animals, emphasizing evolutionary relationships, aspects of animal organization that unite major animal phyla, and animal adaptions. Finally, Part Six covers animal form and function using a comparative approach, it also includes an appropriate balance between invertebrate and vertebrate descriptions
