Descripción
Sumario:The book describes an explains the mass spectrometric and closely realated analytical strategies and techniques that are most important and useful for the separation, identifiacation, and measurement of organic and inorganic compounds and ions in environmental and realted media. Environmental media are usually considered as the air, water, and earth. Related media, to which most of the strategies and techniques discussed in this book are appicable, include beverages, biological fluids, some consumer products, foods, some industrial materials, and tissue. The strategies and techniques considered are usually general and applicable to a variety of compounds and ions of interest in agricultural and food chemistry, forensic investigation, industrial processes, illegal drug determinations, petroleum exploration, pharmaceutical analyses, toxicalogical studies, and other areas. On the other hand, mass spectrometric strategies and techniques for molecules, including biological molecules and synthetic polymers, are byond the scope of this book.
