Deskribapena
Gaia:This millennial edition of "World Resources" focuses on five critical ecosystems that have been shaped by the interaction of physical environment, biological conditions, and human intervention; croplands, forests, coastal zones, freshwater systems, and grasslands. All these ecosystems sustain human life through the production of a wide variety of goods and services. This report argues for an 'ecosystem approach' to development and recommends how such an approach can be applied. The goal of this approach is to optimise the array of goods and services that ecosystems produce while preserving or increasing their capacity to produce these things in the future
