| Resumo: | Contract is an important subject which provides a basis for the study of many other areas of the law. There are few statutory areas in the law of contract, but those that do exist tend to be complex and difficult. The text includes a series of checklists, flow-charts and diagrams to unravel the Misrepresentation Act 1967, the Law Reform (Frustrated Contracts) Act 1943, the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations. Recent developments in legislation and case law discussed include the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999, Barry v Heathcote Ball & Co, Director General of Fair Trading v First National Bank plc, Stocznia GDanska SA v Latvian Shipping Co and Kleinwort Benson Ltd v Lincoln County Council.
