The first 4 chapters of Part 1 serve as a general study to the introductory chapters content with a unique set of exercises and activities in each section. The remaining chapters of part 1 include a summary of particular theoretical approach covered in Counseling and Therapy. The summary is followed by a "guided study" consisting of about a dozen essay questions. The "chapter review" consists of numerous fill in the blank questions categorized by chapter headings to help you internalize the content. This is followed by "matching exercises". Finally, the chapter concludes with 'Questions for discussion and reflection."
