We found that English and Vietnamese share a lot of entities in the mappings concerning the use of repetition by composers. Basing on the findings and results of this study, some implications for the teaching and learning of English, translation work as well as composing songs will also be suggested. Hopefully, the result of the study can be somewhat beneficial for the teaching and learning of English.
