| Περίληψη: | This thesis is the study of how Instructions for Use of Beauty Care Products are written in English and Vietnamese so as to get a full understanding of the typical features of this kind of instructions in both languages. With this aim, I have set up major goals for the thesis to investigate and to find out both the similarities and differences between EIUBCPs and VIUBCPs in terms of syntactic features and semantic features. In order to prepare data for research, the Instructions for Use from Beauty Care Products in English and Vietnamese are chosen randomly from beauty salons, manufacturers and internet. I proceed to collect about 140 samples of Instructions for Use of Beauty Care Products of two languages for analysis. Based on some criteria such as sources, the length of samples, types, dates, etc, I selected 140 samples for both languages of which 70 EBCPIs and 70 VBCPIs with the average length from 80 to 120 words. The data are described and contrastively analyzed on linguistic aspects under qualitative and quantitative approaches to yield more precise points on syntactic features and semantic features in instructional texts |
