Via this thesis, this study aims at presenting common morphological, semantic, pragmatic features in English proper names used in Streamline English Coursebooks. This thesis explored the use of proper names used for characters in Streamline English Coursebooks. The study was aimed to look for qualitative information about teachers‟ representatives with the linguistic features of proper names used for the characters in Streamline English coursebooks in terms of morphology, semantics and pragmatics in lectures. Quantitative information about the frequency of kinds of linguistic structures, distinctive lexical items used and pragmatic functions of representative with examining proper names was also discussed. The data were extracted from the different resources such as in Streamline English coursebooks, on the Internet and mass media, classified and chose proper names which have got suitable criteria . The study examined the morphological, semantic and pragmatic features of proper names used for characters in Streamline English Coursebooks.
