The most important and significant aspect of the study, the similarities and differences between English and Vietnamese compound adjectives in online newspapers in the view of syntactic, semantic and pragmatic features, is presented in order to help learners have better use of language in communication. The findings of the study show the frequency and variety in terms of syntactic, semantic and pragmatic features of compound adjectives. On the basis of the findings, some teaching implications consisting of strategies and some suggested exercises have been put forward.
