The data of the thesis were taken from film websites in English and Vietnamese 280 samples (140 samples in English and 140 samples in Vietnamese) are collected to support the process of the investigation. I have figured out 11 conceptual metaphors of ―sport‖ in both languages. The study has pointed out the similarities as well as the differences of conceptual metaphors of ―sport‖ in English and Vietnamese. Beside giving an in-depth understanding of conceptual metaphors of ―sport‖ in both languages, the research is carried out with the hope of adding the voice to the variety of conceptual metaphors.
