Nghiên cứu này dựa trên thuyết dạy học theo nhiệm vụ (Task-based Language Teaching - viết tắt TBLT), sử dụng bài tập mô phỏng, và thuyết đánh giá theo hình thức hồ sơ tài liệu học cá nhân.
