Miêu tả
Tóm tắt:The irradiation is known as a very useful way to inhibit the sprouting of potato, kill harmful bacteria species and increase its preservation period. The absorbed dose is one of the most important characteristic of irradiation process. In this study, the depth dose distributions in potato and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) were investigated under low energy X-ray irradiator using Fricke dosimeter and Gafchromic film dosimeter. The results of dose rates penetrated in PMMA were compared with those in potato with difference less than 1.5 times. PMMA could be used as phantom in measuring the depth dose delivered in potato. The difference of depth dose distribution in potato between one-sided and double-sided irradiation was also illustrated. The calculated dose uniformity ratio (DUR) values are 5.8 and 1.9 for potato when irradiating one-sided and double-sided, respectively. The DUR obtained the appropriate value in double-sided irradiation.
