| Tóm tắt: | Reforming LIS programs is an essential demand at educational institutions to meet the demand for a high-quality human resource. The library science program has been changed to Library and Information Science (LIS) program since the end of the 20th century as the application of IT in the library management created a new scientific field combining the library science and the information science. The article introduces LIS programs in some developed countries in America, Australia and developing country in Asia. The author also recommends to improve current LIS programs in Vietnam. |
