The greatest value of in situ technique is the ability to monitor the radiation- induced process in full time-scale, and thereby be able to capture the transient phenomena which tends to happen suddenly and progress quickly. The post-irradiation fading or time delay effect could be avoided thus the irradiation effects could be analyzed at a dose fidelity. These tools may be used to identify the modes and kinetics of the evolution of materials/reactants in extreme radiation environments.
