Tóm tắt: | Since 1983, after 14 years of research and application of the IPM method , frequeney of
pesticide spraying has been reduced fromn 15 -20 times to 1-3 times per season Research
results have shown that the frequeney of spraying pesticides for cotton pest can even be reduced to only once per season.
Spraying frequency of 1 or 2 times at late period of cotton season in Ninh Thuan, Dong
Nai, Dak Lak has given higher yield of cotton in comparison of that in non - sprayed areas. However, starting time for spraying should be identified appropriately for each geological region as well as each cotton variety . For in stance, Jassids of cotton often appears earlier in Dong Nai than in Tay Nguyen, so that pesticide spraying is required earlier in Dong Nai. Because of late o ccurrence of Jassids in aphid - resistant variety, pesticide spraying is just needed when the pest appears. Spraying of pesticide at I or 2 times frequency after 90 days from seed sowing has provided many effects, such as killing aphids, limitation of Pectinophora and Heliothis species, and conservation of natural enemies. If pesticides are needed during late period of cotton season (after 90 days from seed sowing), only one spray for control of Jassids is enough . |
