Miêu tả
Tóm tắt:This book contains 21 chapters contributed by active researchers from several countries including Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the USA. The book chapters have been divided into five sections. The first section on 'History of Resistance Development' has one chapter dealing with the historical perspectives of the development of fungicide resistance. The second section on 'Status, Detection and Management of Resistance' includes eleven chapters on resistance development and its management in important pathogens to various groups of fungicides such as benzimidazoles, SBIs, phenylamides, carboxylic acid amides, QoIs and other novel action compounds. One chapter in this section also gives information on field kits and Internet-supported fungicide resistance monitoring. In the section on 'Resistance Cases in Different Countries', there are six chapters dealing with resistance development in several countries such as Italy, France, Japan, India and the USA. The section on 'Genetics and Multi-Drug Resistance' includes two chapters on the genetics of fungicide resistance and the emergence of multi-drug resistance in fungal pathogens. In the final section on 'Role of FRAC' there is one chapter that highlights the role of the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) in managing resistance to different groups of risky fungicides. The book therefore covers different aspects of the problem of fungicide resistance. Each chapter has a concluding paragraph at the end highlighting the present status and future projections of the problem and its management.
