Highlands were investigated . Results showed that in the forested and planted trees of the central Highlands, there are 34 species belonging to 12 families of the 2 genera. Of which, the Odontotermes have the biggest number of species and are the most dangerous. A new species was discovered for the South Vietnam termites genera. It was concluted that the tree termites in
Central Highlands are richer in XuanMai, Ba Vi.Of the 34 species, the number of damaging far trees species is 21 , from the Odontotermes,Microtermes, and Pericapritermes families. These species attack and damage branch , roots of
both deal and alive tree like coffee, rubber, coco, ...
Nets of the damaging species are varying , some are on the ground, some are under the
ground. Most of the nets are beside the trees, some of them are in the dead trees. |
