| Итог: | The study aims to state a close relationship between stylistics devices and literature and help the readers be fully aware of the importance or effectiveness of some stylistics devices. This thesis focuses on analyzing the features of metaphorical expressions in the novel “A Farewell To Arms”. On the basic of corpus collected from the novel “A Farewell To Arms” and its Vietnamese Version “Gia Tu Vu Khi” metaphorical expressions in the novel are described and analyzed in order to help readers have more understandings on the features of metaphor in “A Farewell To Arms”. All 200 samples participated in this study including 100 samples in “ A Farewell To Arms” and 100 samples in its Vietnmese version “Gia Tu Vu Khi”. On the basic of the findings, some implications are put forward for the teaching and learning English for Vietnamese learners. Finally, suggestions for further study are made for anyone that is interested in this problem to continue studying to perfect this research. |
