| Tóm tắt: | This research aims to evaluate the Vietnamese translation of “The ThornBirds” using House’s Model of Translation Quality Assessment. Specifically, thestudy seeks to apply House's model to identify syntactic, lexical, and textualmismatches between the original English version and the Vietnamese translation byTrung Dung (2015). The frequency of these mismatches serves as a measure of howeffectively the target text conveys the source text's content and meaning, indicatingthe translator's adherence to an overt translation method. The study’s findingscontribute empirical data on translation challenges and methods, enhancingcomprehension and translation of novels between English and Vietnamese. |
