The data of the study consisting of 253 samples were collected from the novel “Nỗi Buồn Chiến Tranh” by Bảo Ninh and the English translational version “The Sorrow of War” by Phan Thanh Hảo. In order to achieve the aims, the researcher carries out descriptive, constrastive and qualitative approaches. The findings of the study are finding out the translation methods used in the novel “The Sorrow of War” and focusing on equivalence meaning between the source language and target language on the translational version.
