Tóm tắt: | Asphalt concrete is the main material of surfacing layer of flexible pavement
structure in road and highway construction. It is used popularly all over the world
and in Vietnam. The thickness of it which is define by empirical and analytical
designing methods bases on Resilient Modulus. It is difficult to define value of
resilient modulus parameter of asphalt concrete. Because it depens on many
factors as the traffic load ; characters of the material partners (coarse aggrigate, fine
aggrigate, binder) ; materials componant; climate conditions (the most omportant is
the temperature) and construction technology. Its values are ve ry different in
designing standard s so it is very difficult to apply them into determining reasonable
thickne ss of pavement structure which is economical and have sufficient
engineering ability .
Series of theoretical analysis and test are caried on both in laboratory and in-situ
in the reseach-the me "No-B96-04-35-TĐ " in the University of Communication and
Transport in order to approach to determining a reasonable value of asphalt
concrete resilient modulus. This reseach have got good results in the first period .
