Miêu tả
Tóm tắt:The international livestock revolution has received a level of attention in line with its profound worldwide implications. The Chinese livestock sector leads the revolution in terms of its aggregate size and growth rate. Like the livestock sectors of many other developing countries that have been swept up in the revolution, the Chinese livestock sector has also undergone dramatic structural change. Despite the enormous importance of the developments in China, it is diffi cult to obtain detailed information about what is going on in the Chinese livestock sector, especially in relation to the ruminant livestock industries. Given that the China Agricultural Economics Group of the University of Queensland has been researching the ruminant livestock sector in China for two decades, we felt that we could contribute to a better understanding of the international livestock revolution by providing a micro level study of a Chinese ruminant livestock industry.
