| Tóm tắt: | We realized from the outset that in order to create the best possible textbook, we
would need the help and assistance of people who are not only recognized as experts
in their field, but who are also excellent communicators and teachers. We thank all
of the contributing authors who have dedicated their valuable time and expertise to
this project and endured many months of working with us; without them, the task
of assembling this volume would have been considerably more daunting. So much
of the knowledge about pandemic preparedness is held within the new ‘international
fellowship’ of pandemic planners with whom we have interacted over several intense
years. We thank these colleagues, too numerous to mention individually, for the facts
and wisdom they have imparted. Such a book could not have been produced without
also drawing on the published outputs from the World Health Organization, the
European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and other organizations that
have made sustained efforts towards international pandemic preparedness over a
number of years. |
