Summary:This study aims to achieve two primary objectives. The first objective is to identify specific errors made in the process of translating bi-functional adjectives from Vietnamese into English. The second objective is to explore the causes of these errors through a semi-structured interview with randomly selected students participating in the study, while also examining the hypothesis that learners fail to recognize the dual grammatical nature of these adjectives, which leads to translation errors
